Starting a business is an adventure that I am never going to forget. But why?
Because, when I first made the jump, it literally felt like landing into a world full of promises and
uncertainties. At that time, the path to success wasn’t very clear, and sometimes, I found myself
wondering if I was even heading in the right direction.
Ahh! That was scary, though! However, this is my personal experience, and not everyone finds it
difficult or overwhelming, so RELAX!
During this journey, I faced countless challenges. But now, when I look back, I realize that I’ve
learned a few important things on this journey that can lead your startup to success. So, I
thought, why not share with you all as well.

1. It All Starts with a Clear Vision

If there’s one thing that I wish I knew at that time, it’s how important a clear vision is. When I
first began, I had a million ideas running through my head, and I really wanted to execute every
single one.

How naive of me, no?

But soon, I realized and took a step back. I really thought about what I actually wanted to
achieve and what kind of impact I wanted to make, and after that, every decision became so
much easier to make.
So, the vision you set for your business doesn’t have to be perfect from day one, but it should be
convincing and clear. However, for me, it was all about solving a problem I knew people needed
help with, and I did it.

2. Building the Right Team

They say you can’t do everything yourself, and trust me, they’re actually right. At the initial
stage of my journey, I thought I could figure out everything on my own. But the truth is building
a successful startup isn’t a solo journey. It’s about the team you build around you. Finding the
right people who not only have the expertise but also understand your vision and ambition is
important. When I first hired people, I realized that it was never about hiring only the most
qualified candidate. It was teaming up with individuals who were passionate about what we were
trying to do.
You always need a team that can
 work together
 challenge each other
 learn from the losses/mistakes
 celebrate the victories together

3. Always Focus on Your Customers

Another important lesson that I learned during my startup journey was not to take the customers
for granted. During the initial days, I focused so much on my product that I forgot about what my
customers were saying. Then, I realized that the best innovations aren’t always the ones we think
of in isolation. Instead, they’re the ones that come from a deep understanding of the people we’re
trying to serve. I started talking to my customers more, and their feedback actually helped me
improve my product.

4. Embrace the Failure
I won’t sugarcoat it. There were times when failure seemed certain. There were many moments
when I questioned whether I should quit this journey. But now, when I look back, I realize that
each failure was a lesson. It was an opportunity to learn and grow. When you see failure as part
of the process, you get that it isn’t something to be feared. Instead, it’s something to embrace.
5. Stay Resilient and Never Stop Growing
The startup journey is anything but linear. There will be many highs and lows during the journey.
But What I have learned along the way is that resilience is the key. Your ability to bounce back
from tough times and keep moving forward is what will set you apart.

Conclusion

Looking back at my startup journey, I realize that there’s no magic formula for success. But the
whispers of wisdom I’ve learned along the way have made all the difference. Trust your vision,
build a team that believes in you, listen to your customers, embrace failure, and stay resilient. If
you can do these things, you’ll unlock the secrets of startup success.
So, as you embark on your own entrepreneurial journey, remember that the whispers from the
oracle are always there, and they’re just waiting for you to listen.
